We are very excited to announce our first in-house competition!
#FASTFADESCOMP

It's a "pop-up" comp for pre-worn jeans and jackets sponsored by Denimio, Hiut Denim Co., and Superunknown. Enter any pair of jeans or jacket with at least 1 years worth of actual wear.
So if you've got faded pair of jeans or jacket you've never logged, now is the time. Add it to your wardrobe, put in the date you started wearing it, the days of the week you typically wore it and how many wears you've done, and DENIMHEAD fills the history in backwards from there! Magic.
Full rules, prize terms, the photo brief and what counts as raw will be released soon.
Entries open on 1 October 2026 and will appear under the COMPETITIONS tab in the App.
THE APP LOOKS DIFFERENT
Another thing we are excited about is the improved look and feel of the app. Something that we are continually improving but this week saw a major revamp. DENIMHEAD has been redrawn in raw indigo and light wash, with faded-blue accents, amber for the buttons that do things, and the selvedge redline as our mark.
REPAIRS & TAILORING
Your denim's repair history now lives with the piece.
Open any item and you'll find a REPAIRS & TAILORING section. Log a repair or an alteration, when it happened, who did it: yourself, a shop, or the brand - what it cost, and add photos.
Repair photos get their own month-grouped gallery on the item, so you can scroll a piece's whole repair story.
Free on every tier.
THE COMMUNITY, BY THE NUMBERS
36,475 wears logged, across 49 countries.
Every one of those is somebody tapping a day on a calendar!
THE GLOBAL FADE ARCHIVE
DENIMHEAD only works because people log things. Every wear you tap, every wash, every photo of a hem going at the edges becomes something another denimhead can learn from.
Our vision from the start is to build the global fade archive and that's what we're all doing here. Not a museum piece. A working reference for the community to use and enjoy.
Here are the type of questions it can answer, once enough of us have filled it in:
What does this exact model look like at one year? Two? Three?
What does a pair washed every couple of months look like next to one that has never touched water?
How differently does 15oz break in against 21oz over the same mileage?
What happens to indigo after a summer in the sea?
Is a crotch blowout at 200 wears normal, or did I do something wrong?
No product photo answers any of that. No single person's pair answers it either. Only a lot of people, logging honestly, over a long time.
So please add your whole collection. Not just the pair you're wearing in right now.
The older ones especially. The pair you retired. The jacket that's been in rotation for six years. The ones you moved on to someone else.
You don't need a perfect record. Add the item, enter roughly when you started wearing it, which days you wore it and about how many wears you think you've put in, and DENIMHEAD fills the history in backwards for you. An honest estimate beats a blank every time.
Then photograph them properly (there's a great guide with tips on how to photograph raw denim written by Demin Hunters that's great reading: https://denimhunters.com/how-to-photograph-raw-denim/). In three years that photo will be worth something to somebody.
HELP SHAPE DENIMHEAD
Repair logging exists because several of you asked where to record a chainstitch hem or a crotch blowout fix. Company pages exist because you wanted somewhere real to land when you tap a brand name.
Fast Fades exists because you kept asking when we were going to run one.
If there's something you'd like to see, large or small, we genuinely want to hear about it.

ENJOYING DENIMHEAD? TELL THE APP STORE
Small ask,
If DENIMHEAD has been useful to you, please leave it a rating and a few words on the App Store or Google Play. It's in the menu: SPREAD THE WORD, then Rate DENIMHEAD. Two taps.
We don't advertise. Reviews and word of mouth are genuinely how people find this app, and a handful of honest ones move the needle more for something this size than anything else we could do. There's a Share DENIMHEAD button right above it too, if you know someone who'd use it, please share it.
And if something is annoying you, tell us first. We'd much rather fix it than read about it.
As always, thank you for helping build something that belongs to the global denim community.
Now go and dig out your oldest pairs!
Until next time,
WEAR. LOG. FADE. REPEAT.
