You Asked, We Built It: Wardrobe Sorting & the Wash/Soak Split

Features & Functionality

Two new updates shaped entirely by your feedback: sort your wardrobe any way you like, and log soaks separately from washes so your wears-per-wash finally tells the truth.

DENIMHEAD has always been built by denimheads, for denimheads. These two updates are proof of what that actually means: both came straight from community feedback, and both are live now.

Sort your wardrobe, your way

Big shout out to my man @beejpowers for the nudge on this one. Your collection can now be sorted however you think about it. Tap Sort at the top of your wardrobe and pick from:

  • Date added - newest pickups first, or oldest

  • Date purchased

  • Date began wearing - when you first logged a wear

  • Date last worn - great for spotting what has been sitting in the closet

  • Number of wears

  • Brand

  • Model

Every option flips between ascending and descending, so just tap it again to reverse the order. It works on your own wardrobe and when you are browsing someone else's.

Washes and soaks, counted honestly

Special thanks to @wifimethod, who pointed out that logging a rain soak was dropping his wears-per-wash, even though he had not actually washed his jeans. He is right: in raw denim, a soak is not a wash, and your wash count is a point of pride.

We took it to the r/selvedge community to settle the rule, and the consensus was clear: detergent is the dividing line. So now:

  • There are two separate actions: Log Wash and Log Soak.

  • Soaks (rain, ocean, plain-water dips) do not count toward your wears-per-wash by default. Washes with detergent do.

  • Every entry has a "Count as a wash" toggle, so you always have the final say. A cold soak with a little detergent? Mark it as a wash.

  • Counts now show split everywhere as washes and soaks, and your wears-per-wash ratio only divides by true washes.

No more honest soaks tanking your fade stats.

Keep it coming

This is exactly the kind of feedback we want. DENIMHEAD gets better when you tell us what is missing or what feels off, and we want this app shaped by the raw denim community. If you have an idea, a gripe, or a "wouldn't it be great if...", send it our way through Settings > Contact or find us on Instagram @denimhead.app.

Thanks for building this with us.
