Earth denim is Tanuki masterpiece creation and discontinued forever. I’ve keeping it for 4 years before start wearing them into indigo invitational. I’ve been unfortunately didn’t make it to the top10, but I am very satisfied with the result on my fades. This piece grows with me when I come to a new working environment as an outlet manager and head barista. This is the piece that I get to know my denim head customers in my cafe. We discuss a lot about denim in technical ways. I did not hope everyone could understand what I’m doing with this pair, but I did appreciate when people ask “how the hell u make it good in both contract and vintage in them?” I didn’t want to make it sharp contrast and I also don’t want it to be vintage to mimic the old days. I want it to be complete, complex, release fabric full potential, natural, and sense of beauty. My answer is semi contrast or balanced fading. My first wash was 4th months of daily wear. Second rinse was at 4 and half month. The idea is to settled in those creases for whiskers and honeycomb, but I don’t want drag in to its extreme. After that I shower it every 3-14 days. Depends on situation I been facing. I did 3 soak and machine wash in a year when hand washes no longer cleaning them well. Total combination of wash, rinse, soak, machine wash, about 18 times This is the pair I make a lot of new friends, trained 6 staffs, and refining my own philosophy of life and fading denim.
