This is my first denim jacket featuring 5 continents of cotton and 16 times rope dyed natural indigo. I wear them actively since December 2020 to June 2024, every single day. After that I wear them occasionally, still full of life in them. Total approximately 1278 days. Stop wearing them isn’t mean I stop loving them, I started redline rally with another piece for competition and this year another competition. My ways of washing are a sets of combination wash I developed over time. Based on conditions and targeted result to wash. My first wash is after 6-7 months of daily wear. A very gentle rinse with shower head to just get rids of the stickiness from sweat but preserve the indigo. The target is crease forming rather than fading. After a full year, I did a bucket soak with soap and a hand wash. Third wash will be a rinse with shower head after3 weeks. After this, I did wash or rinse every 1-3 weeks. In between, I did 5 machine wash in total when I can’t get them clean with hand wash. Total about combination of 46 hand washes, soak, rinse and machine washes. I’ve been working in a very busy restaurant as a barista and service crew.
