Competitions
Host your own fade competition
Brands, retailers, clubs and individual denimheads can run a competition on DENIMHEAD. Set the rules, pick the judges, line up the prizes, and let the community enter the pieces they have been putting the hours into.
Raw denim jeans and jackets, boots, chore coats, work shirts, heritage workwear: if it fades, ages or patinas, you can build a competition around it. Hosting is free.

Who can host
Brands
Run a fade-off for one of your models or your whole range, put your own product up as the prize, and see how your denim, leather or canvas actually ages on real people.
Retailers
Bring your customers together around the brands you stock. A competition gives people a reason to come back, post, and talk about what they bought from you.
Clubs and communities
Already run a fade-off on a forum, a Discord or Instagram? Move it somewhere built for it, with entries, judging and results in one place.
Individual denimheads
You do not need to be a company. If you have an idea for a competition and the time to see it through, apply and tell us about it.
What it can be for
Choose which item types your competition accepts. One type or several.

- Jackets
- Boots and footwear

- T-shirts
- Overalls
- Shorts
- Hats
- Accessories
Run it your way
- Cost to host
- Free. There is no charge to host a competition on DENIMHEAD, and entering is free for everyone taking part.
- Fade race from new
- Everyone starts with an unworn piece and the competition runs over months. Entrants register at the start and submit the result at the end.
- Pre-worn
- Well worn pieces are welcome, as long as the entrant wore them from new themselves. You can set a minimum time worn, like the year Fast Fades asks for.
- Registration, then competition
- A sign-up window first, then the competition runs between its own start and end dates.
- One open window
- No separate registration. People enter on any day between the start and end dates.
The tools you get
- Your own competition page in the app and on the web, with a shareable link, your cover artwork and a reserved hashtag.
- Judges. Invite a panel by username, or judge it yourself. Judges score each entry, keep private notes, and see the full wear and wash history behind it.
- Verification photos. Ask entrants for a proof shot, such as the piece beside a handwritten card, and upload an example so they know exactly what you want. Proof shots stay private to the entrant, the host and the judges.
- Entry rules. How many entries each person may make, the fewest photos an entry needs, a cap on participants, and the conditions entrants confirm before they enter.
- Prizes and sponsors. List the prizes, and add sponsors with their own logos and links.
- Rich text rules, written in the web editor and shown on your competition page.
- Announcements to everyone taking part, plus automatic notifications when entries open, when the competition starts, as it nears the end and when it closes.
- Winners. Pick winners for each prize and announce them. The competition feed becomes the results page, with the winners first.
- Entries posted to the feed. Every entry is shared to the main DENIMHEAD feed with your hashtag, putting your competition in front of the whole community.
- Moderation built in. Every photo and every word goes through the same moderation as the rest of DENIMHEAD.
